Linden Wolbert

Class of:  2026

Linden’s path to becoming a professional mermaid pioneer began watching PBS documentaries and swimming competitively through her youth. A broadcast cameraperson by 17, she studied film and science at Emerson College. Scuba certified at 24, she soon fell head over fins for freediving. She tried a monofin on, sparking the vision that would define her career — creating ocean “edutainment” for children as a mermaid. She handcrafted a biomimetic silicone tail and launched her self-produced Mermaid Minute children’s video series, surpassing 50 million YouTube views. A former AIDA freediving judge, Reef Check Foundation Board Chair, Make-A-Wish granter, double patent holder, and inventor of the world’s first foldable monofin, Linden combines innovation, conservation, and storytelling to inspire ocean ambassadors of all ages.
