Welcome to the WDHOF Conservation corner where we highlight some of the amazing women and exciting projects happening to conserve our underwater world. Our underwater world makes up more than 70% of the earth and supports all of life on the planet. Today, the water world is in jeopardy from threats such as over exploitation, species loss, pollution and climate change. However, there are many WDHOF women who are working to support protect and sustain our spectacular aquatic ecosystems such as coral reefs, kelp forests, rivers and estuaries. Many of our WDHOF inductees, associates and scholarship winners are protecting endangered species, combating habitat loss, fighting pollution and invasive species as well as playing key roles in the training and education of divers around the world.
