Nancy Caruso is a marine biologist and conservationist. From the age of 10, she was fascinated by marine life, leading her to get scuba certified at 16 years old. She began her career in aquaculture, later founding Get Inspired, a non-profit organization, to restore marine species in Orange County, California. Nancy’s efforts aim to restore kelp forests, abalone, white seabass, and pismo clams by teaching over 12,000 students to grow the species in their classrooms and training thousands of community volunteers to help in the ocean, on the beaches, and in the tidepools. These projects invoke stewardship and involve the community to SOLVE problems, giving us hope and reminding us that we CAN change the world.
