Alexis is an undergraduate student at the University of Florida, set to graduate in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences and a minor in Mass Communication. Passionate about marine conservation, she aims to contribute to public service and research, shaping conservation efforts to protect large marine species. Her academic journey has been enriched by hands-on experiences, including a rewarding sea turtle conservation internship where she studied the tagging efforts of loggerhead and green sea turtles. Committed to exploring and preserving Florida’s coastal ecosystems, Alexis is eager to obtain her open-water diving certification to enhance her field research skills. This certification will expand the scope of her research opportunities as she prepares for graduate studies and a career in marine science.
