Amber is a Master’s by Research student in marine ecology and conservation, researching the effects of bioacoustics on settlement-stage coral larvae in Mexico and Australia to support the upscaling of reef restoration efforts. Growing up on a sailboat fostered her deep connection to ocean systems, inspiring her pursuit of marine research and conservation. With the support of this grant, she will gain essential training to further contribute to reef restoration efforts as a divemaster. Her long-term goal is to own a research vessel, enabling her to lead independent research and conservation initiatives.
