Cat is working toward becoming a quantitative marine ecologist. She began her Ph.D. studies in September 2024 at Boston University. After finishing her B.S. in biomedical engineering, she worked for four years in the tech industry as a software engineer. She is now working in a lab that focuses on studying the dynamics of coral reef ecosystems through combining modeling, data science, and fieldwork. She is an AAUS Scientific Diver, Drysuit, and Enriched Air Diver. She will be pursuing her Diver Stress and Rescue certification to continue practicing the highest quality of safe diving in her research.
