Chad is the Dive Safety Officer at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium. He started diving at Humboldt Cal Poly, where he minored in Scientific Diving, and completed his Open Water Certifion through Divemaster. From his time at Humboldt, Chad knew he wanted to become a Dive Safety Officer. After graduating, he took a job at the University of Southern California on Catalina Island as the Deckhand on the Miss Christi. While there, he volunteered at the Catalina Hyperbaric and became interested in expanding his knowledge of Diving Emergencies. Over the next several years, Chad worked his way up to Assistant Dive Safety Officer at USC, and eventually left to fulfill his dream of being a Dive Safety Officer. Chad has worked in several aquariums over the years and will use the Diving Emergency Medical Responder Grant to help him grow as a Dive Safety Officer. Being able to manage diving emergencies is a large part of the job, and Chad looks forward to receiving additional training.
