Dharkshen is a biology student at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), a mangrove guide, writer, and divemaster. She has dived around Southeast Asia, particularly the South China Sea and Celebes Sea to actively participate in marine conservation and build artificial reef structures, collect data on fish and turtles, assess coral health, and enjoy the art of scuba diving. Passionate about bridging the gap between people and nature, she uses storytelling in various mediums and guided excursions to foster a deeper connection with Mother Nature. With the support of the Advanced Dive Training Grant, she will obtain her scuba instructor certification, allowing her to further inspire Malaysian women to explore scuba diving and marine conservation.
