Emily is an avid adventurer who aims to protect the land and resources she explores. Her graduate research focused on paralytic shellfish toxins in subsistence sea otters paired with curriculum to help increase accessibility to science in Alaska. Through working with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Restoration Center, she helps support community efforts to restore habitat and fish passage. Emily plans to get her open water and dry suit certification to help increase capacity in Alaska.
