Emma Rudy Srebnik is a first-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying Environmental and Marine Science. She began diving during high school while living in Japan. She was the leader of her school’s Underwater Explorers club and helped promote community service through scuba diving. She also recently published a research paper in a peer-reviewed journal on microplastics in fish. In the future, Emma Rudy plans to continue marine conservation and research. She is excited to use her training grant to learn how to dive in a drysuit!
