Emma Sanchez

Emma is an undergraduate student at Boston University studying Marine Science, Biology, and Computer Science. She is currently doing research in a lab on her campus about how captivity alters the lunar cycles of reproduction of clownfish. After using her grant to get open-water certified, she wants to get scientific-diving certified so she can go on research trips with her lab. In her free time, she loves to spend time outdoors hiking and camping and also in the water free diving and paddle boarding. She also enjoys backpacking and experiencing different cultures; her favorite places have been Portugal and Germany. Her goals for the upcoming years are to get accepted into a Ph.D. program to study either evolutionary mechanisms of coral reef fishes or shark science.
