Gabi is a divemaster, educator, and marine scientist from Grand Rapids, MI. Inspired by her father, a sailor and diver, she pursued a career in marine science and conservation. She earned a Bachelor’s in Environmental Sciences and Sustainability and Marine Ecosystems Management at Michigan State University, serving on the scuba club’s board, and completed a dive-intensive internship in Mozambique her senior year. At Florida Sea Base, she worked as a STEM educator and coral restoration technician, cultivating her passion for scientific diving and teaching. For five summers, she has led Jolly Madison Sailing Club, (a 501(c)3 non-profit), in providing fully funded youth sailing and STEM programs, and aims to expand this mission to include scuba as an instructor. Gabiembraces diverse diving conditions worldwide and is honored to be support by WDHOF and Girls That Scuba in this next step of her dive career! Go Green!
