Haley is an M.S. student in the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, working in the Silbiger Lab. She also works with the community-based nonprofit Mālama Maunalua, supporting habitat restoration and long-term monitoring in Maunalua Bay, O‘ahu, where she grew up. Her research examines the physiology and community dynamics of native and invasive macroalgae, and compares manual invasive species removal with natural invertebrate herbivory as mechanisms for restoration. Haley is an AAUS Scientific Diver and aims to apply her research to advance community-driven marine conservation and resource management in Hawai‘i.
