
Jessica is an oceanographer, AAUS Scientific Diver, and Regional Manager of Reef Check Baja California Program, where she leads community-based kelp forest monitoring to protect Baja California’s temperate reef ecosystems. She holds a Master’s degree in Coastal Oceanography from the Autonomous University of Baja California and has led research and diving expeditions along the coast and abroad. Passionate about connecting people to the ocean, her work bridges science, community action, and environmental education to strengthen stewardship. With support from WDHOF Training Grant, she will become a scuba instructor, expanding opportunities for women’s leadership in diving and marine conservation in Mexico.
