Kenzie Pollard

Kenzie is a second-year Ph.D. student at the University of California, Davis, conducting her dissertation in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. She is interested in investigating environmental compatibility in coral restoration and how the interaction between plasticity and local adaptation dictates geographic distributions. She aims to use this
information to inform coral nursery and outplantation locations around Rarotonga in addition to informing coral conservation and restoration practices globally by highlighting the importance of coral plasticity and site-level variation on coral thermotolerance, growth and survival.
