Mar is a student at Ball State University studying Media Production with three minors in Scuba, Biology, and Studio Art. They have deep passions for film making and marine biology, which has led to pursuing a career as an underwater videographer. With this award, Mar will continue to fund their college education so they can work on advocacy-centric projects with a focus on aquatic conservation. By creating films that educate the public about the beauty and importance of the underwater world, Mar aims to help build a future where people are able to connect with and care for their local ecosystems.
