Natalie Horn is a research technician at the Florida State University’s Coastal and Marine Laboratory. She currently focuses on community ecology and habitat restoration of oyster reefs in Apalachicola Bay, Florida. She is a part of the Apalachicola Bay System Initiative which aims to better understand the decline of the bay’s ecosystem and deterioration of oyster reefs. Obtaining her AAUS certification with the support of WDHOF allows Natalie to expand her diving and field skills all while trying to better understand the ecosystem that she one day hopes to see recover.
