Nazde is a fourth-year medical student at the University of British Columbia. She fell in love with the ocean when she began volunteering at the Vancouver Aquarium at the age of 14. She is an avid diver and Divemaster candidate and is always on the pursuit to find cool creatures off the BC coast. Her passion for research led to her involvement with the SFU Environmental Medicine and Physiology unit, where she became a hyperbaric chamber tender. In the future she hopes to integrate her love for diving and physiology by pursuing a fellowship in clinical diving and hyperbaric medicine.
