Stephanie is a scientist and emergency medical technician with a passion for research and conservation. She grew up in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay, gaining a love for all things on and in the water from an early age. She graduated with honors from Virginia Wesleyan University with degrees in biology and psychology. During this time, she had the opportunity to study tropical ecology and marine biology in Belize, which sparked a lifelong love for scientific and recreational diving. She plans to use this grant to continue her training to become a rescue diver and expand professional opportunities. She is looking forward to serving her community with advanced training and aspires to one day educate others on the delicate intricacies of the underwater world.
