Taslima has a background in zoology (B.Sc.) and a Master’s degree in oceanography and coastal area studies. Despite living far from India’s coastline, she has always been captivated by the mysteries of life on Earth, and her passion for marine and wildlife sciences drives her diverse work across aquatic ecosystems. She has contributed to projects on dugongs and river dolphins, and she currently works on a jellyfish research initiative. Her broad interests lie in the fields of behavioral ecology and monitoring, species distribution, population assessments, taxonomy, trophic interactions, marine megafauna studies, and ecosystem-level biodiversity research. With aspirations to pursue a Ph.D., Taslima envisions advancing research on marine sciences while contributing meaningfully to wildlife studies.
