Tyler is a researcher at NOAA’s Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory, conducting fieldwork and lab analyses for marine ecosystem assessments in south Florida. She is also a Master’s student studying marine biology and ecology at the University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science. Growing up in Kansas, she didn’t discover her passion for scuba diving until college and recently completed her Scientific Diver certification. In her free time, she loves spending time in and on the water scuba diving, freediving, and paddling. She plans to use this grant to continue her training to become a better diver recreationally and professionally.
