Alyssa is a Ph.D. candidate in Marine Geosciences at the Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences, University of Haifa in Israel, researching sea-level rise and coastline changes in the Mediterranean Sea. Her research focuses on the identification of ancient sea-level indicators currently submerged offshore. Currently an SDI Master Diver and AAUS Scientific Diver (University of Rhode Island), Alyssa will use the grant to enter into technical diving, which will allow her to explore deeper and older coastlines.
