Amy Socha

Amy is a Master’s student at Florida State University (FSU) researching paleo environments and submerged archaeological site formation. She began diving as part of her Master’s program through FSU’s Advanced Science Diving Program, and is currently working towards her cavern diver certification and qualification as a scientific diver. Her Master’s Thesis research will focus on a submerged site in Florida, where she will analyze sediment cores and the underwater context of the site to study its formation. She intends to make underwater archaeology a career and hopes to eventually do submerged geoarchaeological research around the world.
