Frida is a biologist from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Her interest in the complexity of invertebrate communities and the influence of the environmental factors led her to develop her Bachelor’s thesis project about the Crown-of-thorns starfish at the Gulf of California. During her project, she collaborates with multidisciplinary research groups in reef monitoring biodiversity to document ecosystem changes over time. Frida plans to improve her diving skills to explore the underwater world further and pursue a Master’s degree in Applied Marine Ecology that allows her to be prepared for current and future challenges in marine conservation.
