Lauren is currently a lab technician at UC Santa Barbara. She completed her Open Water certification in August 2018,followed by her Advanced, Rescue, Nitrox, and AAUS certifications in 2019. Lauren shows her passion for marine ecosystems through research and education. She has conducted research in both the Channel Islands and French Polynesia and has extensive outreach experience - including giving presentations via scuba at an aquarium in southern California. Her next goals are to pursue her Ph.D. in Community Ecology and use her Divemaster certification to increase her outreach efforts.
