Mai is a passionate ocean lover, particularly intrigued by the unusual world of underwater invertebrates. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Marine Ecology and Molecular Biology, focusing on the ecology and taxonomy of sea cucumbers in the northern Red Sea. She feels lucky to be part of the research community in the Red Sea, which has an incredibly rich and interesting reef, with many questions yet to be asked. The WDHOF photography scholarship will allow her to capture and convey the underwater beauty she encounters through her research.
