A native of Pensacola, Florida, Olivia spent countless hours enjoying the water in her youth. While she has always loved this unique town, her affection multiplied when she experienced her first wreck dive in the Gulf. With a fascination for the unknown and drive to understand all types of mysteries, Olivia has dedicated herself to scientific research. She has spent the last five years conducting human and animal neuroscience research. Olivia holds a particular fascination for optimization of performance and neuroprotection in extreme environments. Olivia will use this grant to better understand the blood-gas relationship in freediving humans.
