Sally is an Ecology PhD student at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a passion for photography. She will leverage her photography and marine science skills to communicate the beauty of the ocean, the challenges it faces, and actions being taken to protect it to a broader audience.

Sally recognizes that in fisheries science, there is often a disconnect between researchers, managers, groups that could be impacted by the research, and the public. She intends to help bridge this gap by documenting the relationship of each of these groups to the ocean.
