Sandali (team leader) and Randi (teammate) are both from Sri Lanka and have a keen interest in marine environmental conservation and research. Sandali is a graduate student from Ocean University of Sri Lanka, and Randi is a third-year undergraduate student at the same university pursuing a B.Sc. in Coastal and Marine Resources Management. They are currently involved in numerous volunteer programs for marine conservation as well as various research projects based on their current studies. Sandali is an active member of Young Zoologist Association (YZA), and Randi is the newly appointed university ambassador of the Women in Ocean Science (WOS) network. It has always been their dream to learn how to dive to diversify their studies in marine science and widen their field with underwater research. They are so excited about receiving the WDHOF dive grant and are ready to follow their underwater aspirations.
